    Pyeatt Draw

I've been wanting to run this trail in the pines for a good while... and I figure a good time to do it is when it's HOT down here! So if we can get a date set in August or September that works, let's go for it. I know for sure I can't on Aug 9-10, 16-17 and Sept 6-7, 13-14.

The trail seems to be a 2.5 to 5.0 depending on your line. I hear a locked jeep with 31s can do it so I think I can handle it as well. Apparently the major obstacles all have bypasses. Depending on how soon we get there and how long it takes, I've identified a small loop off the highway just southwest of Payson to run if we have time.

Camping is a great idea. Hell the weather should be much better than here. Either way I will be there.

    Whats your game plan AZTacoma?

My game plan is to make it a day trip... I need to be with the wife and baby on Sunday. Running Pyeatt shouldn't take more than 3 hours... I'm thinking of doing a small loop through Gisela to kill 1 or 2 more.

I don't know if anyone realizes it but, this is Labor Day weekend?  Rubi & I will have to pass. We already had plans for this weekend.  I would have reservations anyway trying to fight the traffic on a holiday going up and down the rim...  Enjoy the ride and we will enjoy reading about the trip!

I've discovered that a Toyota group is planning to run it on the 30th (Saturday). We could make it the 31st to avoid them and there should be less traffic on Sunday anyway. But, it doesn't really matter to me, I'm game for either day as long as some others are willing to go.
