    New Arrival

    Hey

I have a 1998 Tacoma standard cab with 136M miles (original owner). Lock rite, ARB bumper, light bar w/ 130W + 100 w on ARB, progessive rate front springs, reworked leaf pack (have broken 4 sets so far) and a few other goodies. Will never sell it or trade it in........

I used to go all over (live in N Phx) but now have settled to the Bradshaws. Of course since the area around Crown King burned up, I may have to rethink that.

I got the recall notice on my tacoma re: rusting frame and am GLAD I stayed in a hot dry climate  :-)

    Hello and welcome!

Yeah it sucks about the Bradshaw's and the loss in Crown King.

Unfortunately, I live in North Phoenix (I17 & Deer Valley). If your up to a day run let me know.

Also, feel free to post some photos of your Tacoma and if you have any questions I am here to help.

    Regards,

    Ryan

Then you are not far from me (Union Hills & 7th Street).  I have a million photos of my truck. Most of them are from the CK area. I have been going there for 11 years. RIght out on Lane Mtn, so when I first heard about the fire I knew it would be a disaster. The dead wood and ground cover was real thick. I bet it went up in seconds.

I used to have a resident population of deer (about six), a mountain lion, lots of rabbits, snakes (black rattlers included) and one time a bear wandered right into my camp site. Now I wonder what happened to all of them.

Funny thing, I had fires there for those 11 years....some so big I used to tell people "you could see them from space," and I never once had a problem or close call with them getting out of hand.

During the monsoon season I hang out in a couple of Bradshaw spots trying to take some cool pictures of thunderhead build-ups. Sometimes I get too close and have to try and outrun a pending microburst  Fun  :-)

I'll see about posting some pics. My truck isn't really lifted (well, the rear is about 1.5" over stock and the front maybe half that), but it has been a good ride, never letting me down once.  (Well, once, but that was the original crappy GM "green eye" battery. As a result I got to spend the night in a room at the CK Saloon. I later learned that in frontier days the upstairs rooms at the saloon were rented by the hour for.....well, I bet you can figure that one out....!!!)
