    Re: Sycamore Canyon

I saw this on the Lowrance when taking Dugas Rd. We are going back to Fossil Creek that Saturday, so should be ready for Sunday.

This trail is cllose to my house so I can meet you at the trail head or somewhere in between. Which route are you taking from the east valley?

Crap! Get me all excited! Walnut canyon is a scenic trail and I haven't been there for a while, but it is too far from my Saturday run to Fossil.

The last time I was there we made it all the way to the coke ovens. The true back way... It was a long journey and a different perspective of the Mineral Mountain range.

I can't make it, but anyone else who is interested, here are couple photos of the area.

Have a great time! We will have to hook up on the next run.

Lisa and I will do our best to be there on time.  We will have to leave Tucson early in the AM to make it there before 7am.  My cell # is 520-245-2295 if someone wants to call to find out where we are before leaving for the ttrail, I would hate to have just missed ya.  We are looking forward to running this trip and just getting out.  We are planning on brinning our Golden retreiver, unless someone thinks that might be a bad idea.  He has been a few of our trip and enjoys getting out and exploring with us, I think, he hasn't actually spoken that to me,  yet.....Stick out tongue

    Re: Walnut Canyon

Walnut Canyon was a beautiful trip. Had a fun time with our new friends from Tucson ! Glad you could make it up for this trip!  The trail hadnt been traveled on in awhile and with recent monsoon storms ...it was washed out in areas...ALOT. By noon it was time to head out with the heat starting to really kick in. After Walnut Canyon we took Craig and his wife to Mattie Earps grave site.  Heres a few pics:(click on the picture for a larger version)

Lisa and I had a great time.  Thank you all for having us!  I look forward to doing it again soon.  Our pup was pooped when we got home, he has just been sleeping since hitting the highway.  Hopefully we can arrange a trip to Chivo falls sometime soon,  Let me know when you want or have the time to make a ttrip down here.  It's a exciting trail with some good obsticles.  But nothing we all couldn't make, There are bypasses on most of them.  I need to figure out how to post a pic here of the falls.  Thanks again everyone!  There a some pics of the falls here.  Let me know what you all think.
