    New here

Hey everyone. I moved out to Goodyear about 6 monthes ago and have began to take an interest in the 4x4 world. I have a 2003 Chevy Silverado Z71 w/ a 6" RCD lift. I would like to start to meet people who are willing to be patient with a newbie and guide me through this new hobby.

Sup Tyler, you said you're in Goodyear now... where you coming from?

This is as good a place as any for a newcomer to get started. Sometimes we even meet up and go on runs together. I will say this though... you have a big truck and that thing will take damage on "serious" 4x4 trails around Phoenix. However, if you're not inclined to beat your b**ch all to hell just yet, there's plenty of fun, less techincal off-roading to be had. That's what I mostly do.

I grew up in fountain hills and moved to tucson in 2004. So i have been in AZ just not at this end of the world. I do realize i have a big truck and am ready to see what it can take, i dont want to destroy it but i know it'll get some bumps and bruises.

Welcome to the site. Please excuse the mess why I try and remodel. We will get something going here shortly.

We have people of all vihile makes and models so I wouldnt worry too much.

I will post a couple trail options in the "Suggest a trail" to see what we can put together.

Welcome to the site. Nice to have you aboard. Keep checking the forum as we have runs come up here and there and everyone is invited. We have made runs with anywhere from 2-9 off-road vehicles with different makes, models, and configurations. Hopefully see you on the trails soon.

    Hey Tyler,

How is the zuki progressing? Will it be ready for woodpecker next weekend? You should do a post with some pictures of before and after in the "Members Rigs" forum: http://arizonatrailways.com/cs/forums/44.aspx

    Re: New here

It's going....I finally got the engine running and have decided it is just gonna be better off if I get a new engine. So I am waiting for a 1.6 VW Turbo Deisel egine to arrive and i'll drop that in it.  Other wise it is a beast. I have late model Chevy axles under it with 4.56 gears and riding on 36" tires. I may go to 33" though. I am also getting ready to put in 6.5:1 Gears in the transfercase. It should be up and ready to go within 2 weeks.
