    Newbie here?

Hey all - looking for people/groups I can hook up with for some four wheeling. Recently purchased my Jeep and haven't really taken it out yet.

    AzTacoma,

Howdy!  I've owned 4x4's over the years but really haven't taken any of them on any rough terrain. Mostly just steep hills.  I've taken Quads and dirt bikes farther into the back country than I have any of my vehicles.  I'm in Goodyear, Az. and was looking for some decent trails on this side of town.  Thinking about the Crown King ride but don't want to go it alone.  Take care

    Re: Newbie here?

Hi Candi Medic, my name is Mark - a.k.a. V-dog.  I live in Goodyear, the far west side of town to some of you East siders.  I can go anywhere really and don't mind driving.  Where are you guys going and what time, maybe I'll hook up with you?  Also how do I post pics of my jeep, or myself like you have in your intro?  I tried a couple different ways to get my pics on my profile without any luck.  Thanks!

    Velcome V-Dog,

Glad to see another west sider on the site. Feel free to join in on any of the runs that we all try and get together for. What kind of Jeep did you get and how is it set up? Never mind I can see what your running by your signature. We're heading up to do the DeSoto Mine run this coming Sunday the 30th. You can look in the trails section and see an earlier write up for it.

The best thing to do is email all your stuff to Ryan Gibson and he can post them for you. Were all having problems posting pics currently.

Rubi Can, thanks for the invite on the Crown King run.  I think I'll hook up with you guys for that one.  What will I need to bring and what are the specifics on meeting up with you guys?

Well lets see - seeing that you are the newbie, you must provide a 6 pack of beer for each and every person going on the trip, fill everyones gas tank before we leave, and buy everyone dinner when we get back.Surprise

Just kidding - all you need is you, your Jeep, food and drink for your party, any and all passengers you want to bring, and most of all a sense of adventure. As for specifics on meeting - We're still waiting for a definite time and place. So stay tuned to the forum END OF `07 RUN  on the site and show up for the fun.

Sounds good Mark. Goodyear's pretty close to me... we'll have to hit the south White Tanks real soon and run some of the washes.

Me? I rarely go out just to off-road. I'm usually trying to get somewhere specific like an old mine, natural feature, or a place to hike or hunt. I'm building my truck (verrrrry slowly) with the goal of having capable 4x4 but still retain the drivability for expeditionary style outings. I've driven all over this great state and my preferred roads are two-tracks in the middle of nowhere. Don't get me wrong, I like to crawl, but it's not a priority.

Hope to see you on the Desoto Mine trip.

Not far from home, I'm up for the White Tank ride anytime.   We'll talk about that at a later time.  Take care, and Merry Christmas!

    Re: Newbie here?

If the "Newbie" has to buy the beer and dinner you're getting Keystone and Taco Bell. And everyone has to share! You're on your own for the gas fill ups. which you probably assumed after reading my offer for dinner and drinks. ( el-cheapo ) Big Smile  I'll keep my eye on the link you posted, so plan on seeing me for this one. Merry Christmas!
